LAGO was officially founded in 1976 by Giuseppe Lago. But LAGO has actually been around longer. Policarpo Lago, an artisan furniture maker who worked for the nobility in Veneto and for the churches in Venice, founded a small furniture company at the end of the nineteenth century. The Policarpo children then expanded the production with bedrooms and a series of small furniture for the hall, which completes the look for today’s LAGO.

In the 1980s, the company had a selection of furniture ranging from bedrooms to living rooms. In 2006, with the fourth generation at the top, LAGO made its debut on the international market. With its innovative modular designs, LAGO shows outside Italy that they are well worth their place. Because they use the power of the internet and digital channels, they are global leaders.
More than 20 countries
LAGO sells in more than 20 countries through more than 900 selected stores, including many mono brand stores. It has also furnished many projects for hotels, B&Bs, retail spaces, restaurants, bars and offices in Italy and in cities such as Rome, London, Paris and Saigon. For LAGO, Made in Italy means airy furniture that is characterized by a combination of classic and modern appearance. This combination makes the furniture suitable for offering in spaces not only for use in the home, but also for public spaces such as hotels, restaurants, shops and workplaces.
